By now, you’ve seen how great the Elzetta Flash lights are. With so many configurations, picking the right flash light was difficult till now. We now offer the Elzetta lights as individual components so you can customize the perfect flash light for your application.
Begin by picking the Bezel. (Left to Right) Low Profile, Standard & Crenelated

Now let’s pick body (2 Cell or 3 Cell). The main difference is run time. The 2 Cell provides 1.5 hours of full 235 lumens of output while the 3 Cell provides 2.5 hours of full 235 lumens.

The lens provides different type of throw. The flood lens provides a much wider but shorter beam which is perfect for indoor use. The standard head will give you much further through and a more focused light which is a great multi-purpose lens.

The last component is the tail cap. There are several really neat tail caps to choose from which allow you to pick fro.

Rotary – Allow momentary on with the button or constant on by closing the tail cap completely.

Click – Click on and Click Off

High/Low – Click to turn on and off. 1/2 turn out for low beam

High/ Strobe – Click to turn on and off. 1/2 turn out for strobe

Tape switch 5″ or 12″ – Activate by pushing on the tail switch. Even if the tape switch is cut, you can activate the light by rotating the cap closed.

All I have to say about Amy Geissele’s new ACT trigger is…awesome. I compared it to two other mil-spec triggers. All three are identical being that they all came from the same supplier. But Bill Geissele really worked his magic on these and comparing them, it was night and day.

Just so I can cut to the testing, if you want more tech spec info, you can download the product specs here ALG Defense

Packaging was well sorted. Trigger components came completely assembled. Trigger and hammer were separated by a moisture absorbing sheet that seems to keep things lubricated too. It also helps to keep the parts and contact areas from getting dinged up by each other through fulfillment and shipping.

At first comparison, the ACT parts feel super slick vs. the standard mil-spec kits. Bill Nickel-Boron plated the trigger and Nickel-Teflon plated the hammer. It has tempered Chrome-Moly pins and quality springs. ALG includes a slave pin and grease too. Everything is corrosive free. Pull weight is light for a combat trigger. My friend has the digi trigger weight scale so I was not able to measure it yet, but it does feel like a lighter 5-6 lb pull. Initial pull is so incredibly smooth…and bam. Clean break. There is nothing “squooshy” about it. It’s just a great single stage trigger.

Luckily, my client friends’ own a medical district campus that is also home to a police training/firing range. With the help of a SWAT friend and another competitive marksman, we compared my best mil-spec trig group up against the ACT in my 14.5″ 416 upper on a semi-auto clone lower. Aimpoint T-1. No muzzle break, just a Surefire FH556. Same Federal ammo used for each shooter. The goal was simply to compare the triggers with rapid fire 5-shot groups.

A few other cops wanted at it, mostly because the test host was a 416. But everyone was thoroughly impressed with the ACT triggers smoothness and clean break. They have restrictions for upgrading their duty rifles, but everything about the ACT is mil-spec, so they will be looking to get approval.

It’s really is a fun trigger to shoot fast. And @ $65, I can upgrade a few rifles for the price of a higher-end comp trigger. Shoot, I think I already sold some at the PD range.

Rainier Arms was awarded the launch of ALG Defense and we are authorized to take 100 pre-orders for QMS & ACT Triggers. We should be shipping at the end of February. Orders yours now and be the first to have this amazing trigger. As you know, Geissele manufactures confidence. Now, you can have a Geissele made “Mil-Spec” trigger at an affordable price. ALG Defense was formed to distribution purposes. Order yours today.

ALG Defense Quality Mil-Spec (QMS) – $45

The ALG Defense Quality Mil-Spec (QMS) Trigger is designed for those shooters where tradition, value and regulatory concerns are of primary importance. The pull of the QMS is very similar to a standard mil-spec trigger, however the majority of the associated grittiness of the stock trigger pull has been removed while the well known reliability of a stock trigger remains. The pull weight is not lower than the M4/M16 minimum weight specification of 5.5lbs.

**Tuned by Geissele Automatics**

Performance Advantages for the Shooter:

The ALG Defense QMS trigger pull is smoother and sharper than a stock trigger. This is accomplished by honing the sear surfaces smooth while not removing metal below the valleys of the stock surface finish.

Sear geometry has not been changed from the standard profile so the high reliability that the stock trigger is known for is unchanged.

Trigger and hammer are made from true 8620 alloy steel military specification castings, correctly carburized, quenched and tempered for high surface hardness.

Disconnector is 1070 High Carbon steel properly Austempered into the spring range of hardness.

Springs are corrosion resistant and meet military specifications.

A full force hammer spring is used for positive ignition of all type of ammunition.

Trigger and hammer pins are improved over stock mild steel by using 4140 Chrome-Moly steel that has been quenched and tempered. Pins are centerless ground to a fine finish and a diameter 0.001” larger than stock to reduce play in the trigger assembly while retaining a slip fit into the weapon lower receiver. Both pins are Nickel-Teflon coated.

Pull weight is above the U.S. Military minimum pull weight of 5.5lbs but does not reach near the upper limit of 9.5lbs. Generally, the pull weight is about 6.5lbs.

Advantages for the Armorer:

The ALG Defense QMS trigger is an enhanced standard trigger so maintenance and installation procedures are unchanged.

There is spare parts commonality between the QMS and stock triggers

Trigger assembly parts may be interchanged between triggers, there are no matched sets.

Since it is a trigger meeting the U.S. Military trigger specifications for the M4 Carbine, the ALG Defense QMS can be substituted for lower performing stock triggers while still staying in compliance with Unit or Departmental requirements.

Note about HardLubing:
HardLubing is ALG’s term for electroless Nickel plating with an integral modifier to the base nickel plate. Either Boron or Teflon is used to enhance surface hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance and also create favorable tribological properties of the trigger components. Testing has shown that differential coating of the trigger parts contributes to the sharpness of the ACT’s single stage pull. The trigger component is plated with Nickel-Boron which has a high surface hardness combined with excellent wear resistance. The color is a pleasing matte light grey that may be painted on non-functional surfaces if the shooter so desires (such as the trigger bow that is visible outside the lower receiver). The hammer, disconnector and trigger/hammer pins are plated with Nickel-Teflon which combines a low coefficient of friction with good wear resistance. The Teflon impregnation colors the metal a mottled, greyish/green. Parts coated with Nickel-Teflon cannot be painted. Both coatings are highly corrosion resistant eliminating the oil seal of traditional phosphated firearm components.

Chainsaw:

NOVESKE CHAINSAW grade rifles and components are perfect for the guy (or bad ass chick) who plans on using his rifle as a too. We strive for perfection in every way, including setting the industry standard for cosmetic perfection. Inevitably, there are parts that do not make it past our incredibly stringent quality control for minor cosmetic blemishes. These culled parts will still deliver the same performance you can expect from a NOVESKE product. Rather than stare at boxes of parts perfectly capable of pumping more lead into Mother Earth, we have marked them with a little chainsaw, are offering these at a discounted rated. Leave your microscope at school and your camera on landscape setting; Chainsaws are not for stamp collectors.

NOVESKE CHAINSAW grade rifles and components may not be returned for cosmetic blemishes. These gun are for men who plan on using the gun as a tool, and adding plenty of scratches along the way. As always, NOVESKE RIFLEWORKS, LLC will be more than happy to inspect, repair, or replace any NOVESKE CHAINSAW marked part suspected of having a functional defect. If this is the case, please contact Noveske directly at www.noveske.com.

As always, Rainier Arms has the first batch of these. We only received 50 so they will not last. Get them while it’s still here!!

Description:

Features flared magwell for speed reloads. Flared forged lower uses standard take-down and fire control pins. Receiver is mil-spec hard coat anodized aircraft grade 7075 T6 aluminum.

The NSR handguard was designed with the goal of being the lightest and smallest free floating forend option to the M16 family of weapons. The width of the NSR handguard before accessories have been installed is only 1.48″ The NSR handguard will be available for sale as standard equipment on our rifles and upper assemblies, as well as a separate component for sale to the public. On rifles and upper assemblies including the Vltor MUR upper receiver, the NSR handguard comes pinned to the upper receiver for perfect alignment of the 1913 top rails, and creates an anti-rotation interface with the upper receiver the same as our existing Lo-Pro offerings. We plan to offer this in 7″, 9″, 11″, 13″, and 16″ lengths.

The KeyMod inter-locking rail system is a collaboration between Vltor Weapon Systems and Noveske Rifleworks. Separately, both companies were in development of their own systems, but later realizing that both systems were similar, a standardization of the KeyMod system came to be.

The KeyMod system offers a mounting platform for a variety of (future) accessories and components. The days of the Picatinny Rail (MIL-STD-1913) are numbered. The future of the direct mountable accessory is here and now. The KeyMod self-contained components/mounting hardware index and V-block onto the platform, achieving a secured and accurate hold to the system, while separate lugs take the recoil force off the fasteners. The pass through attachment method eliminates the need for loose screws and backing plates that can easily be lost, or difficult to install. Another advantage of the KeyMod system over the 1913 system is the direct attach eliminates the need for the 1913 system as a “middle Man” thereby reducing weight and accessory off-set from the center of the handguard.

Finally, in the near future, the direct-mount KeyMod components will include items such as, 1913 rail sections, polymer covers (in various lengths and colors), hand stops, QD-Sling Mounts, bipods, K9 barricade supports and more. Also, the NSR handguard system will have an optional heat shield which installs through the front and does not occupy any KeyMod holes. Please follow our website for future KeyMod developments.

Did you know when Rainier Arms started in 2004 (Formally Tactical Solutions), our very first manufacturer we offered was Samson MFG. Another interesting part of this story is that Samson MFG was also entering the AR-15 market with the Star Series (Samson had been an OEM supplier prior to launching their own line). So not only was Samson our first company, we were Samson’s first dealer. Who knew 8 years later, we would have a partnership like this?
